Job Responsibility

General responsibilities:
• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
• Support the execution of Business Unit-country/channel/product expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives
• Conduct research/feasibility studies/market scan to gain a better understanding of the latest market opportunities/trends
• Provide analysis and meaningful conclusions to research/feasibility studies/market scan to gain better understanding of the latest market opportunities/trends
• Coordinate meetings and prepare materials to facilitate negotiations with potential clients/customers. Support contract renegotiations with existing clients
• Execute improvement initiatives to Business Development processes and ways of working to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
• Work with internal stakeholders to cross-verify research findings/analysis and ensure smooth execution of deal negotiations and finalization of contracts
• Update and maintain internal reports and databases
• Maintain close contact with and support interactions with potential clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities

Leadership responsibilities:
• Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior to achieve team/function goals (where applicable)
• Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learning 

Job Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar industry, especially in market research, sales, marketing, business development related work, etc.
• Degree in Business Studies/Marketing preferred
• Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered
• Proven proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
• Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
• Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for at least medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries
• Demonstrate analytical skills
• Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
• Proven client and customer account management skills
